Improving the roads...

SMBC Highways have listened and responded to the lobbying by local Labour Councillors with agreement reached on a 3 year timetable to completely resurface a number of roads to overcome long term neglect has now been put into the strategic area budget repair programme.

Priority streets include Harrogate Rd, Lindfield Rd at the railway bridge, the Tonbridge/Hardman/Barlow Fold junction, Newhall Rd/ Thornley lane Juction/Davenham Road and especially for long over due repairs at Ruskin Rd! (On Poets estate both Byron and Masefield will eventually follow). Each resurfacing will cost in order of £30,000 of your taxes.
